The starting price of SAR 118,999 sits in the genuinely competitive territory for a mid-size electrified SUV in KSA.

Price

The S07 price starts at SAR 118,999 in KSA through Almajdouie Motors. It is available in two variants, a REEV 200 MAX and a BEV 620 MAX, covering buyers who want maximum range reassurance and those who want a pure EV.

Engine and Performance

• REEV 200 MAX

The S07 REEV is powered by a rear-mounted electric motor producing 238 hp and 320 Nm of torque, paired with a 1.5-litre four-cylinder petrol engine that acts solely as a generator to recharge the battery when needed.

The car comes with a 31.74 kWh battery pack, with AC charging in 5.6 hours and DC charging in around 15 minutes. The total combined range of 950 km is enough for Riyadh to Jeddah and well beyond. In electric-only mode the S07 covers about 200 to 285 km, with 0-100 km/h in around 7.7 seconds.

• BEV 620 MAX

The BEV variant comes with a 79.97 kWh ultra-high efficiency battery, delivering an energy consumption of 18.6 kWh/100 km and a range of up to 475 km. For daily driving around Riyadh or Jeddah, that range comfortably covers a week of urban use between charges.

The REEV is the better choice for those who regularly cover long intercity distances.

Ride and Handling

The S07 rides on a rear-wheel-drive layout that keeps the handling balanced without feeling nervous. The rear-wheel-drive configuration ensures responsive handling and refined dynamics.

On Saudi highways, the ride is smooth and feels planted at 120-130 kmph and the near-silent electric powertrain makes long trips genuinely relaxing. Urban driving in Riyadh traffic is comfortable, with the electric motor delivering instant torque from a standstill.

Road Presence

The S07's design language is clean and purposeful without shouting for attention. Matrix LED lighting, a flush door handle design and a panoramic roof give it a contemporary premium feel. It sits confidently in the mid-size SUV category, larger than a Tucson and more modern-looking than a RAV4 Hybrid and distinctly less anonymous than most of its Chinese competitors in the Saudi market.

Interior and Features

The interior features a large rotatable central display, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, USB-C and USB-A ports, voice-command systems and a premium surround sound system.

A head-up display complements the main screen by projecting navigation directions, speed and other essential data onto the windshield, allowing drivers to keep their eyes on the road. The S07 also features a distinctive floating sound island composed of Deepal sound modules integrated into the cabin, creating a yacht-like atmosphere. The premium system delivers a 360-degree surround sound experience through 14 high-quality speakers.

Against the BYD Atto 3, it wins on cabin quality and range but faces a tougher resale value comparison given BYD's stronger brand recognition in KSA at this stage.

The S07 is arguably the most convincing all-rounder in Deepal's Saudi lineup. The REEV variant removes every range anxiety argument while keeping the EV driving experience intact and the cabin genuinely impresses for the price. SAR 118,999 puts it well below where a BYD Song Plus and LYNK&CO 01 with comparable tech sits. The open question is brand trust, Deepal is new here and buyers used to buy Toyota or Hyundai for resale stability. The 6-year warranty helps, but time will confirm it.
